New Bedford - Joseph M. Bobrowiecki, 57, died unexpectedly, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the fiance of Janet Daigle.
Born and raised in New Bedford, son of Helena M. (Palys) Bobrowiecki and the late Edward J. Bobrowiecki, Sr., he was a resident of Dartmouth. He was employed as a mechanical engineer for Integrated Machine LLC in Fairhaven.
Joseph was a graduate of Bishop Stang High School and UMass Dartmouth.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.
Survivors include his fiancee, Janet of Dartmouth; his mother, Helena; 1 brother, Edward J. Bobrowiecki, Jr. and wife, Patricia, all of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Elaine Zimberlin of New Bedford and Helene Oliveira and husband, Arthur of Fairhaven; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 5 - 7 P.M., Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. His funeral is at 9 A.M., Wednesday from the funeral home followed by a Mass at 10 A.M. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, New Bedford. Burial is in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Joe, I'll miss you. Sorry we did not keep in touch as often as we should have. Life does that sometimes. Wish I could have made the time to do some fishing with you. You're sense of humor always made me laugh. My condolences go out to his family he has left behind...

Was the best neighbor and he always had time to chat. We would just stand there and talk for almost an hour at times about anything cars computers guns he always was there too if I needed help. Will miss you my mother and I both send our condolences.
