I grew up hearing my mom Wanda Dabrowski speak glowingly of "Uncle Ted" and the old days in New Bedford......Moms been gone for 10 years now. I thought it might help if I passed that on for her and for you. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Irzyk family, I was saddened when I read of Mr. Itzyk's passing. He was a pillar of the North end of New Bedford. I had many pleasant dinners at Thad's. He and my Dad were in the same unit that landed on the beach of Salerno, Italy. Rest in peace PFC Irzyk, and talk to my Dad about the landing there.

I just heard about this. In 1986 Thad's gave me a job as a bartender. I loved working there and remember the boss well. He taught me how to make a great martini. Thank you Teddy.
