We picked this poem to speak to Fred's love of boating with his family on Narragansett Bay and beyond.

Love Chris and Mary

I am standing on the seashore, a ship sails in the morning breeze and starts for the ocean.
She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her till at last she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says: "She is gone."
Gone from my sight that is all.
She is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I saw her, and just as able to bear her load of living freight to its destination.
The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not in her, and just at the moment when someone at my side says,
"She is gone"
there are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up a glad shout:
"There she comes!"

You do not know me, but I can empathize with your loss.

Fred was one of my mentors at FFIC. I left nursing and was hired by the company. Fred made my transition easier to handle. He told me I could ask him anything at any time. Knowing him and learning from him, is a highlight of my career.

Please accept my condolences for your loss. He was a truly exceptional person.

My deepest condolences to you, your Mom and Michael on the loss of your father.  So many good memories, both growing up and more recently when your parents visited mine on the Cape.  May your Dad rest in peace; you now have an Angel by name.
