Adeline J. Hansen

New Bedford – Adeline J. Hansen, 97, died Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Hathaway Manor. She was the fiancée of the late Henry Olsen.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Pis) Ptasienski, she was a lifelong resident of the city.

For many years she worked at Goodyear, making weapons for the military. She also was employed as a weigher for the fishing industry until her retirement.

Adeline enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include 2 nieces, Karen DeMello and Ann Smith and husband, Jack; 1 great-nephew, Jeremy DeMello, his wife Sharon, and their children, Allison DeMello, Zachary DeMello, and Serenity Geloran; and 2 great-nieces, Sherry DeMello and Anastasia McGruder.

She was the sister of the late Phyllis Ptasienski, Susan Young, Stanley Pisz, Joseph Ptasienski, and Walter Ptasienski.
