Agostinho Felix Obituary
New Bedford - Agostinho "Auggie" Felix, 65, died unexpectedly, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara (Henry) Felix.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, a son of the late Eugene and Maria (Medeiros) Felix, he came to America as a young boy, later becoming a U.S. citizen, and lived in New Bedford for most of his life. He worked as a fish cutter for New Bedford Fillet House and various fish fillet houses throughout the years. "Auggie" attended Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He loved his Koi pond, cooking and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; 3 sons, Eugene Felix, Agostinho Felix, and Christian Felix; a daughter, Melissa Czapiga; 2 brothers, John Felix and Julio Felix; and 11 grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Anthony Felix and Joseph Felix.
Private services are with Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
