New Bedford - Albina A. (Hamot) Glod, 90, died peacefully Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Antoni and Agnes ((Izdebski) Hamot, she was a lifelong resident. She was employed as an inspector at the Acushnet Co. until her retirement.
Mrs. Glod was a member of the Polish Ladies Auxiliary, Mt. Carmel Seniors, St. Casimir Seniors, and Dartmouth Senior Club. She loved the beach, especially her favorite spot, Fort Phoenix. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and loved animals.
Survivors include 1 son, Richard Glod of New Bedford; 2 nephews, Jan Domagala and Anthony Domagala; 6 nieces, Diane Domagala Boudreau, Angela Mello, Evelyn D'Ambra, Renee Domagala, Michelle Efthimiades and Marion Plant; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Walter, Gene and John Hamot, Annie Hamot and Evelyn Domagala.
Visitation is 4 to 7 P.M., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
