Alice Gorecki Obituary
New Bedford - on the 23rd of June, 2015, Alice J. (Stupalski) Gorecki, passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Michalina (Godlewska) Stupalski, and the sister of the late Zbigniew and Wanda Stupalski.
Some of the most joyous years of her life were spent as a young secretary for various government agencies in Washington, DC, during World War II. It was also here that she met her future husband, the late Henry F. Gorecki. In New Bedford, they raised two children, Gail Gorecki and the late Lydia Gorecki.
Alice enjoyed being with family and friends, gardening, polka dancing and area beaches. She helped spread knowledge of the Polish culture through her membership in many Polish organizations, such as the Polish Women's Business and Professional Club and the Polish National Alliance.
A brief service will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, July 2, 2015 in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.
