Altagracia Rondon De La Rosa

Altagracia Rondon De La Rosa, 85, died Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Rhode Island Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Gabino De La Rosa.

Born in Provincia Duarte Pimentel, Dominican Republic, daughter of the late Porfirio and Ramona (Del Orbe) Rondon, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

In her free time, Altagracia enjoyed travelling and cooking. She especially loved holidays and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her 4 sons, Gabis, Fernando, Milciades, and Vicente De La Rosa; her 2 daughters, Juliana and Josefa De La Rosa; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Altagracia was predeceased by her daughters, Marianela De La Rosa and Raquel De La Rosa.

Visiting hours are Friday, December 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Her funeral will be Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
