Ana (Mercado) Concepcion

New Bedford – Ana (Mercado) Concepcion, 81, died Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Alden Court Nursing Home.  She was the wife of the late Pascual Concepcion.
     Born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Aipolito Mercado and Maria A. Canabal, she was a resident of New Bedford.  She was a homemaker.
     Ana was a happy person, always singing and dancing, and helping people.  She enjoyed planting flowers and liked dogs and fish.  She especially loved being with her grandchildren.
     Survivors include 2 daughters, Maria Acevedo and Maria Ester; 2 sons, Wilfredo Concepcion and Carlos Concepcion; 4 brothers and 2 sisters; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
     She was the mother of the late Ana Delia, Rosa Maria, and Rafael Concepcion.
     Her visitation is 9 – 11:30 A.M., Tuesday, August 11, 2020.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
