Ana Lydia Cuba, 67, died Saturday, November15, 2025 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River after a brief illness.
Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Raymon and Dominga (Poll) Cuba Castro, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
In her free time, Ana enjoyed cooking and was very fond of birds. She especially loved her brothers and spending time with her family.
Ana is survived by her two sons, Carlos and Esteban Velez; her daughter, Myra Velez; four brothers, Neftali, Wilfredo, Charlie, and Miguel Cuba; two sisters, Flor and Sonia Cuba; 15 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Ana was predeceased by her son, Lenny Velez; and her three sisters, Lydia, Mimi, and Awilda Cuba.
Visiting hours are Monday, November 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
