Ana Peixoto

Ana Peixoto, 60, died Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Fall River Healthcare after a brief illness. She was the wife of Joao Paulo Peixoto.

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, daughter of Antonio and Maria (Conde-Santos) Dos Santos, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

Ana was a very social person who enjoyed spending time with people. She also loved to cook, and was especially fond of dogs.

Ana is survived by her husband, Joao Paulo Peixoto; her son, Joao Miguel Peixoto; two daughters, Ana Catarina Horta and Ana Rita Horta; two brothers, Alexandre Santos and Leonel J. Santos; two sisters, Isabel Reis and Joana Santos-Reis; five granddaughters; and one grandson.

Visiting hours are Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, with a service at 4:30 p.m. Burial is private.
