Angel De La Rosa

New Bedford - Angel De La Rosa, 80, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital.  He was the husband of Juana (Soriano) De La Rosa.
     Born in the Dominican Republic, a son of the late Felix De La Rosa and Asuncion (Rosario) De La Rosa, he lived in New Bedford for many years.  He was employed in housing maintenance before his retirement.
     Mr. De La Rosa enjoyed the game of dominoes, playing cards and scratch tickets.  He loved spending time with his family.
     Survivors include his wife, Juana; 3 sons, Julian, Angel and Dereck De La Rosa; 7 daughters, Digna, Modesta, Juana, Petronila, Ramona, Berenice and Yeimy De La Rosa; 5 brothers; 1 sister; 24 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
     He was the father of the late Ana Rosa De La Rosa and Juanita De La Rosa.
     Visiting hours are 2 - 5 P.M., Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
     Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service on Monday at 11 A.M. in Rural Cemetery.
