Annette B. Koster

New Bedford – Annette B. Koster (Daniels), 93, died at home on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Buddy Henry Koster.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Armand and Beatrice Daniels, Annette and Buddy travelled the country on tour with his big band orchestra. Later, they settled in New Bedford to start their family and Annette became a full time mother and the family caretaker. In recent years, her daughter Susan lived with her to become her caretaker and they enjoyed many special times, including shopping together and taking scenic drives.

Annette was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed attending many of the local Council on Aging events. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, cooking, and arts & crafts. Most of all, Annette loved spending time with her family. She will especially be remembered for her long conversations on the phone with her children, and for telling many family stories over the holidays.

Annette is survived by her daughter, Susan Koster; her 3 sons, Brian Koster and his wife, June, Russell Koster and his wife, Elizabeth, and Ronald Koster; 5 grandchildren, Justin Koster and his wife, Holly, Scott Koster and his fiancé, Colleen, Brandon Koster and his wife, Chelsea, Summer Koster, and Cheri Koster; and 6 great-grandchildren, Dereck Koster, Michael Koster, Christian Koster, Hailey Koster, Cassidy Koster, and Joseph Koster.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Crystal Koster.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her and will live on in their hearts forever.

Her visiting hours will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, with a service at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford.
