Anthony "Lucky" Podlaski Obituary

New Bedford - Anthony "Lucky" Podlaski, 91, died Friday, February 5, 2016 peacefully at home after a long illness.  He was the husband of Irene (LeBert) Podlaski.  They were married for 56 years.
     Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Felix and Eleanor (Pliska) Podlaski, he lived here all his life.  He was employed as a delivery man for Chas. Gilman and Sons until his retirement.
     Mr. Podlaski was a beer can collector.  He loved  watching the Red Sox.  He adored his grandchildren and greatgrandchild.
     Survivors include his wife, Irene; 1 daughter, Donna Pimental and husband, Robert of Acushnet; 2 grandchildren, Ryan Pimental and wife, Jennifer of Bridgewater and Jaime Pimental of Acushnet; and 1 greatgranddaughter, Olivia.
     He was predeceased by his brothers, Walter, Leon and Stanley and his sisters, Jane, Stasia and Alice.
     Visiting hours are 4 - 6 P.M., Tuesday, February 9, 2016.  His funeral will be at 9 A.M., Wednesday from the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Anthony of Padua Church.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
