Antonio C. Tabales

New Bedford – Antonio C. Tabales, 93, died Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in the Juncos, Puerto Rico, the son of Juan Cruz Molina and Francisca Tabales Santiago, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

Antonio enjoyed gambling, walking, and watching tv, especially baseball. He also loved spending time with his family.

Antonio is survived by his 5 sons, Wilson Cruz, Antonio Cruz Jr., David Cruz, Anthony Cruz, Richard Cruz; his 3 daughters, Madeline Hull, Leslie Gonzalez, and Liz Cruz; several brothers and sisters; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was the father of the late Evelyn Rodriguez.

Visiting hours are Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Machnowski Funeral Home, with a service at 5:30 p.m.
