Arthur R. Bailey

New Bedford - Arthur R. Bailey, 77, died Monday, September 17, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital.  He was the son of the late Wilbur and Gladys (Jukes) Bailey.
     Arthur was born in New Bedford and raised in Fairhaven.  He was employed as a florist until his retirement.  He attended the Christian Fellowship Center.
     One of Arthur's greatest pleasures was spending time on Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.  He enjoyed cooking, baking, classic cars and the outdoors.  He loved his family and animals, especially his cat, Whiskey.
     Survivors include 2 daughters, Lorrie A. Bailey and Kristine Genereux, both of New Bedford; his cousin, Arthur Cottle of PA; 5 grandchildren, Patricia, Stephanie, Robert, Joseph and David; 6 great grandchildren ; and his loving caretakers, Wanda, Kathy, and Charlene.
     He was the brother of the late Wilbur Bailey.
     Arthur's memorial service will be announced at a later date.
