Beatrice M. (Desroches) Hayes

New Bedford - Beatrice M. Hayes, 94, died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Sacred Heart Home.  She was the wife of the late Joseph S. Hayes.
     Born in New Bedford and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Daignault) Desroches.  She was employed as an inspector at Goodyear until her retirement.
     Survivors include 2 sisters, Lucille Barwick and Jeanne Guillotte; 3 brothers, Gerard Desroches, Roger Desroches, and Donald Desroches; and several nieces and nephews.
     She was the sister of the late Alice Coupe, Doris Mills, Leo Desroches, Willie Desroches, and Howard Desroches.
     Visiting hours are Sunday, 5 to 8 P.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  Her funeral will be at 9 A.M., Monday from the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10 A.M., in St. Anthony of Padua Church, New Bedford.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
