Boleslaus "Bill" Regula

New Bedford – Boleslaus “Bill” Regula, 89, died Saturday, November 21, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  He was the husband of Anna (Shaheen) Regula.  They were married for 67 years.
     Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Jan and Magdalena (Dubiel) Regula, he lived here all his life.  He was employed as a production foreman at Eastern Sportswear and after retiring, bartended at the Brown Jug Tavern.
     Bill was a member of the Panthers Athletic Club.  He enjoyed softball, basketball and baseball.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
     He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
     Survivors include his wife, Anna; 2 daughters, Patricia Raphael and Christine Regula; a son, Robert Regula; 2 grandchildren, Jason Raphael and Brandy Lopes; 1 great-grandchild Deanna Lopes; and many nieces and nephews.
     He was the father of the late Paul Regula, and brother of the late Joseph Regula, Frank Regula and Helen Dobija.
     His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 9 A.M. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, New Bedford.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
