Brenda J. (Wahnon) Lackie

Fall River – Brenda J. (Wahnon) Lackie, 71, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Albert R. Lackie.
     Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late James and Hilda (Ferreira) Wahnon, she lived in California from 1968 to 2004, before moving back to New Bedford.  She was a salesperson at Macy’s until her retirement.
     Brenda enjoyed football and hockey.  She loved animals.
     She is survived by her son, John Jason Lackie of CA; her daughter, Lisa A. Lackie of TX; 5 brothers, John Wahnon, James Wahnon, Jr., David Wahnon, Richard Wahnon, and Jeffrey Wahnon; 1 sister, Sandra Wahnon; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grand-children; and several nieces and nephews.
     Visiting hours are 4 – 7 P.M., Monday, February 18, 2019 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  Her funeral is at 9 A.M. Tuesday, from the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10 A.M. in Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church, New Bedford.  Burial is private.
