Brenda L. (Howell) Nunes

New Bedford – Brenda L. (Howell) Nunes, 55, died Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  She was the long-time companion of Tom Menard.
     Born in Norfolk, VA, a daughter of the late Terry and Delores (Correia) Howell, she lived in New Bedford for many years.  She was a homemaker.
     Brenda enjoyed fishing.  She loved her dog, Marco and especially taking care of her family.
     She is survived by her companion, Tom; 4 sons, Jason, Jose, Mikey and Timmy; 3 daughters, Kelly, Karen and Kendra; 3 brothers, Gene, Mike and Kevin; 3 sisters, Carol, Linda and Jenny; 7 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
     Visitation will be 4 to 5 P.M., Saturday, May 18, 2019 with a memorial service at 5 P.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
