Carlos M. Arruda

Carlos M. Arruda, 67, died on Friday, July 4, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.

Born in St. Michael, Portugal, son of the late Virginio and Maria N. (Archadinha) Arruda, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

Carlos was a member of the Panthers Club. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and football and was a devout New England Patriots fan. He especially loved his children.

He is survived by his son, Nathan Arruda; his daughter, Stephany Silveira; his two brothers, Jose and Virginio Arruda; his sister, Maria Benevides; and his two grandchildren. 

Visiting hours will be Friday, July 18, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, with a service at 5:30 p.m.
