Cecile R. (Salvail) Charette

Fairhaven – Cecile R. (Salvail) Charette, 98, died peacefully, Thursday, July 4, 2019.  She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Charette, Sr.
     Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Romulus and Prudentienne (Gagnon) Salvail, she lived here all her life.  She was employed as an IBM operator for Risdon Corp. until her retirement.
     A parishioner of St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, Mrs. Charette was a member of the Dames of St. Ann and Union Priere.  She was also a member of the Royal Travelers.
     She enjoyed being with and traveling with family and friends, and loved to go shopping.
     Survivors include 2 children, Raymond Charette, Jr. and wife, Audrey of Berkley, and Lorraine LaFleur and husband, Leo of Fall River; 3 nephews, 1 granddaughter and 1 great-grandson.
     She was the sister of the late Roland Salvail.
     Her visitation is 9 – 10:30, Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
