Constance (Lafleur) Dupont

Fairhaven - Constance (Lafleur) Dupont, 89, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Our Lady's Haven.  She was the wife of the late Rene Dupont; they were married in 1947.
     Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Alfred and Leona (Farland) Lafleur and step-daughter of the late Blanche (Desrosiers) Lafleur, she lived here all her life.  She was a homemaker.
     Mrs. Dupont enjoyed knitting and bingo.  She especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren.
     Survivors include 2 sons, Robert Dupont and his wife, Judy of Rochester and Albert Dupont and his wife, Robin of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Rose-Marie Dupont of Acushnet and Diane Bastarache and her companion, Regie Ford of Rochester; 1 brother, Alfred Lafleur and his wife, Josephine of Freetown; 1 sister, Dolores Mendes and her husband, Joseph of New Bedford; 7 grandchildren, Shane, Robert, Nathan, Sarah and Rene Dupont, Brian and Eric Bastarache; 1 great-grandchild, McKayla M. Dupont; and also her family at Our Lady's Haven.
     She was the sister of the late Raymond Lafleur and Vivian Dupont.
     Her funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church and burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
