Daniel Rivera Rivera

New Bedford – Daniel Rivera Rivera, 70, of New Bedford, died Thursday, November 14, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  He was the husband of Elba I. Sosa.
     Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Manuel Rivera Ruiz and Guillermina Rivera Colon, he lived in New Bedford for many years.  He was a cemetery worker in Puerto Rico until his retirement.
     Daniel enjoyed playing dominoes, watching wrestling, and dogs.  He especially loved his family.
     He is survived by his wife, Elba; 4 sons, Louis Rivera, Marcelo Rivera, Daniel Rivera and Angel Santiago; 1 daughter, Adelaida Santiago; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; and 18 grandchildren.
     Visitation is 9 – 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 6, 2019, with a service at 10:30 A.M., at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford.  For condolences, visit www.machnowskifuneral.com.
