Denis L. Boulay

New Bedford - Denis L. Boulay, 86, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at home.  He was the loving husband of Lena (Jarvis) Boulay for 63 years.
     Born in Quebec, Canada, a son of the late Joseph and Clara (Boutin) Boulay, he lived in New Bedford most of his life, and was a communicant of St. Joseph-St. Therese Church.  He was employed as a machine operator for Eastern Screw Co. of RI until his retirement.
     Denis enjoyed watching ice hockey, and especially loved spending time with family.
     Survivors include his wife, Lena; a daughter, Jean Boulay Philla and husband, David; his godchild, Cathleen DeTerra and fiance, Jarrod Freitas; 1 brother, Lucien Boulay; 3 sisters, Viola Racine, Gaetane Mahone and Lillian Duarte; and several nieces and nephews.
     He was the brother of the late Lionel Boulay, Marcel Boulay, Rejean Boulay and Simone Jarvis.
     Visitation will be 5 to  7:30 P.M., Friday, September 29, 2017 with a prayer service at 7:15 P.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
