Edwin Rodriguez

New Bedford – Edwin Rodriguez, 61, died Saturday, September 18, 2021 at home.  He was the husband of Bessie I (Torres) Rodriguez.

     Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of Maria L. Guadelupe and the late Jose Isaac Rodriguez, he lived in New Bedford for many years.  He was employed as an electrician until his retirement.

     Edwin enjoyed working on cars.  He will dearly be remembered as a great husband, father and grandfather.

     Survivors include his wife, Bessie; his mother, Maria; 1 daughter, Julivette Rodriguez; 6 sons, Edwin Alexander Rodriguez Torres, Carlos Rodriguez, Jorge Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Francisco Vargas, and Roberto Vargas; 4 brothers; 10 sisters; and eighteen grandchildren.

     His visitation will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 5 – 7 P.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  His funeral is Friday, October 1, 2021 at 11 A.M. from the funeral home, followed by burial in Rural Cemetery.
