Ernest DeMoura Obituary
New Bedford: Ernest J. DeMoura, 79, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the Southeastern Massachusetts Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Phyllis G. (Hayes) DeMoura.
Born in Taunton, a son of the late Manuel and Mary (Cabral) DeMoura, he lived in New Bedford most of his life. He was employed as a carpenter until his retirement.
Mr.DeMoura enjoyed fishing and watching the autumn foliage change.
Survivors include a son, Marc DeMoura and his wife, Kathryn of New Bedford; 1 sister, Nancy Lopes; 3 brothers, James, David and Raymond DeMoura; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Michael DeMoura.
Private services are by Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
