Eunice Clementine Siebert

Eunice Clementine Siebert, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by those she loved and that loved her. Born in Waltham, MA., she lived in New Bedford, MA for most of her life. She spent her last years in Carver, MA.

Eunice was employed for many years in New Bedford, working for several Doctors offices as a building attendant until her retirement.

Eunice met her best friend Christine, whom she lovingly referred to as Chrissy, in 1978 and also gained a family that embraced her for the first time in her life. They continued their journey together until her passing. She enjoyed a lifetime of adventures with them. She loved birds and had many parakeets, canaries, and finches that she took amazing care of. She also loved dogs and was predeceased by her pet dog named Bandy whom she loved dearly. Eunice enjoyed country music and was a faithful watcher of Channel 5 on television. She spent many hours a day walking around New Bedford for numerous years. She enjoyed eating at diners and local restaurants. She loved the Whaling City Festival back in the day. She also spent much time at the Buttonwood Park Zoo, she loved checking in on Ruthie the elephant and was heartbroken at her recent passing.

Eunice will be remembered for her tenacious spirit, her ability to navigate difficult situations, and the joy she brought to her best friend’s family.

In 2019 Eunice moved to Carver, MA, and was given loving care by the staff at BAMSI where she resided. A special thank you to Michele and Linda and staff for caring for her and making her last years so comfortable and pleasant for her.

She will be sadly missed by Chrissy, her husband Joe McIntyre and children Paul DeCouto, Kali Knight and Christopher McIntyre and their families.

Funeral arrangements were private at Eunice’s request, with Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
