Evelyn Lisak Obituary
New Bedford - Evelyn A. Lisak, 90, of New Bedford, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, with her children by her side.
Born and raised in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Anna and Andrew Sitarz. She was married 60 years to the late Theodore Lisak, a New Bedford Fire Fighter.
A graduate of O.L.P.H., New Bedford High `45, and Kinyon-Campbell Schools, she worked in the offices of several local companies, including Economy Blouse and Maritime Terminal.
She had many interests, including cooking, Polka dancing, photography, knitting and quilting.
Always busy, she loved to travel with her family. In retirement, she spent most weekends cruising the back roads of New England, much of this throughout the Berkshires. She could ride all day, every day. She was always happy, optimistic, and valued the power of a smile.
She is survived by her two children, James and Joan, both physicians. She also has a niece, Helen Ducharme, and two nephews.
