Francisco Morla

New Bedford - Francisco Morla, 77, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at home.  He was the son of the late Victor Mercedes and Marcelina Morla.
     He was born in Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic and lived in New York for many years before settling in New Bedford a few years ago.
     Mr. Morla enjoyed watching baseball and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  His heartfelt desire was to one day return to the Dominican Republic.
     Survivors include 3 sons, David Morla, Normando Carcano and Francisco Morla, Jr.; 4 daughters, Ivemi Morla, Sofia Morla, Mia Morla Leader and Marcelina Morla; and 12 grandchildren.
     Visitation will be 9 - 11 A.M., Friday, October 20, 2017 with a service at 11 A.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford.
