Frank J. Michalski

Frank J. Michalski, 86, died Thursday, October 12, 2023, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Nicole E. (Richter) Michalski.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Jacob and Janina (Palucha) Michalski, Frank lived in the city most of his life. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also loved to volunteer his time at his church.

In his free time, Frank enjoyed rollerskating and bowling, and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.

He is survived by his wife, Nicole; his 3 sons, Kevin M. Michalski of New Bedford, David Michalski and his wife Kelly of Dartmouth, and Jeffrey Michalski of New Bedford; his daughter, Lisa Chenard and her husband, David of New Bedford; his sister, Evelyn Bourque of Florida; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Frank was the brother of the late Joseph and Teddy Michalski, Flora Gonet, and Ulena Chaberek.

Visiting hours are Monday, October 16, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. His funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:00a.m. at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, New Bedford. Burial will follow with military honors at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford.
