Freddie A. Valentin-Soto

Rhode Island - Freddie A. Valentin-Soto, 30, died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital.  He was the son of Freddie Valentin and Carmen E. Soto-Pagan, and the stepson of Angel Arroyo.
     Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, he was a resident of New Bedford for many years.  He was a production worker for Ketcham Traps.
     Freddie enjoyed basketball, boxing, and especially being with his family and friends.
     Survivors include his father, mother and step-father; 1 son, Freddie A. Raposo; 4 daughters, Julieana Valentin, Kiera Valentin, Serenity Valentin, and Eternity Raposo; 3 brothers, Josue Melendez, Xavier Valentin-Soto, and Angel Arroyo-Soto; and several nieces and nephews.
     Visiting hours are 5 - 8 P.M., Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  His funeral will be 9 - 10:30 A,M., Friday with a service at 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
