Frederick J. Benoit

Attleboro - Frederick J. Benoit, Jr., 47, of New Bedford, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.  He was the fiance of Maria Vieira.
     Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, son of Frederick J. Benoit, Sr. and the late Janice (Pacheco) Benoit, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.  He was employed as a supervisor for Sousa and DeMayo, Inc.
     Mr. Benoit enjoyed reading and watching movies.  He was a big fan of the Patriots, Red Sox and boxing.
     Survivors include his fiancee, Maria Vieira of New Bedford; his father, Frederick J. Benoit, Sr. and wife, Ann Marie of Bristol, RI; son, Eric Benoit of New Bedford;  daughter, Kaitlyn Benoit of Fairhaven; brother, Matthew Benoit of Fairhaven; nephew, Timothy Benoit of Fairhaven; niece, Jenna Benoit of Fairhaven; grandson, Landon Patnode of New Bedford; and stepchildren, Veronica Cabral, Alex Cabral and Marc Cabral, all of New Bedford.
     Visiting hours are 11 A.M. to 1 P.M., Saturday, June 3, 2017 with a prayer service at 12:30 P.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
