George E. Martin, Jr.

Fall River – George E. Martin, Jr., 83, died Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.  He was the husband of Dolores (Sansoucy) Martin.
     Born in New Bedford, son of the late George Sr., and Josephine (Butler) Martin, he lived in East Freetown for several years.  He was a self-employed truck driver until his retirement.
     George was a motorcycle enthusiast and member of the Couples Club.  He enjoyed swimming, traveling, camping, and dogs, as well as going out to eat and family get- togethers.  He especially loved spending time with his family.  George was an avid football fan and was known for having a one of a kind hat collection.
     Survivors include his wife, Dolores; a son, Eric P. Martin and his partner, Patricia Barry of Stoughton; and a granddaughter, Alexandra Smith of Wareham.
