Gerard McCra Obituary

New Bedford – Gerard A. McCra, 73, died Monday, July 13. 2020 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care.   He was the husband of the late Deborah McCra.
     Born in Acushnet, a son of the late Arthur and Florence (Moniz) McCra, he lived in New Bedford all his life.  He was employed as a cook for the restaurant industry until his retirement.
     Gerard had many interests, including cooking, crafts, and sports such as the Red Sox and Patriots.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and especially loved his dog, Ebony.
     Survivors include 1 daughter, Cheryl McCra; 2 brothers, Norman Deslauriers and Stanley McCra; 2 sisters, Jeanine Walker and Jacqueline Raposa; and 4 grandchildren.
     He was the brother of the late Leo Deslauriers and Muriel Deslauriers.
