Helen (Raczka) Arabasz, 94, died Monday, November 14, 2022 at CareOne at New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Boleslaw J. Arabasz.
Born in North Dartmouth, the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Rydlakowska) Raczka, she was a life-long resident of New Bedford. She worked as a clerk for the Tucker Anthony brokerage firm until her retirement.
Helen was a communicant and Eucharistic minister at the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and enjoyed helping at weekly church bingo events. She was also a member of the OLPH Society, the Friends of Poland, and the Polish American World War Veterans Auxiliary.
Survivors include her two sons, Paul Arabasz and his wife, Bonnie of Bedford, MA, and Peter Arabasz and his wife, Christine of North Dartmouth, MA; her daughter, Melanie Sevier and her husband, James of Carlsbad, CA; 8 grandchildren, Kristin, Rachel, Kathryn, Auriane, Ian, Grae, Tye, and Robyn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Mark Arabasz and his wife, Candace of Florida; and her brother, Mitchell Raczka.
Her funeral Mass will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 9:00 A.M. in St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Bedford.
