Irene L. Podlaski

Acushnet- Irene L. Podlaski, 94, died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at home. She was the wife of the late Anthony Podlaski.     

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Rene and Antoinette (Levesque) LeBert, she lived in the city for most of her life. She was employed as a clerk in retail until her retirement.     

Irene dearly loved spending time with her family.     

Survivors include her daughter, Donna-Marie Pimental and husband, Robert of Acushnet; a brother, Norman LeBert of Wellborn, FL; a sister, Rita Grenier of Rochester; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Pimental and wife, Jennifer of Bridgewater, Jaime Bernier and husband, Nolan of New Bedford, and Jodi Lucchetti and husband, Joseph of Bridgewater; 3 great-grandchildren, Olivia and Claire Pimental, and Joseph Lucchetti; and several nieces and nephews.             

She was the sister of the late Raymond LeBert, Doris LeBert and Diane Gurr.             

Her visitation is Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Funeral is Friday, April 8, 2022, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
