New Bedford – Jacqueline E. “Memere” (Vancour) Miranda, 71, of New Bedford, died Friday, February 14, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Nicholas Miranda.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Wallace E. Vancour and Mary (Todd) Vancour Bastien, she lived here all her life. She was employed as a customer representative for A.F.C. (American Flexible Conduit) until her retirement.
“Memere” as affectionately known to her family and friends, loved her cats, Snowbelle, Mini Mouse and Phineaus. She especially enjoyed spending time with all her children.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Gail Miranda, Brenda Amarello and Jennifer Arruda; 2 sons, Nicholas Miranda and Adam Miranda; 1 sister, Mary Texeira; 7 grandchildren, Issac, Mason, Sarah, Dillon, Joseph, Ebony and Jameson; 2 great-grandchildren, Olivia and Riley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Marilyn Cloutier.
