James V. Henry, Jr.

New Bedford – James V. Henry, Jr., 72, died Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  He was the husband of Dolores (Serode) Henry. They were married 30 years.
     Born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late James V. Henry and Audrey (Cummings) Bromley, he was a resident of New Bedford, before moving to Fairhaven 20 years ago. He was employed as a salesman for C.E. Beckman until his retirement.
     Mr. Henry enjoyed bowling, the Red Sox, Tai Chi, and going to Foxwoods.  He loved animals, especially cats.
     He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
     James is survived by his wife, Dolores; his brother, Robert Bromley of New Bedford; his sister, Eileen Texeira of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
