Jeanette "Jan" May (Hall) LeBlanc, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 18 in Gilbert, Arizona. Born in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of the late Clinton and Rena (Plummer) Hall, Jan was predeceased by her second husband Pasquale Venuto, her oldest son Walter Venuto, and the love of her life, Emile LeBlanc, with whom she spent 42 years of marriage living on Wildwood Road in New Bedford, until his passing in 2020. She was also predeceased by her sister Dorothy DeYoung, and brothers Clinton and Clayton Hall.
Jan is survived by one son, Joseph Venuto, her deceased son's wife Lee Ann Venuto, step daughter Diane and Richard Damaso, stepson Dennis and Marianne LeBlanc, stepson David and Karen LeBlanc, eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
After her son Walter's retirement, Jan moved to Arizona to be nearer to her sons, with Joseph living in San Jose, California, and Walter and Lee Ann in Mesa, Arizona. Sadly, Walter passed a year later. Lee Ann became her provider and caregiver for the remainder of her life.
Proud of her birthplace in Maine, she considered herself a New Englander, moving to the New Bedford area after her marriage to Emile. She was employed in the shoe industry before retiring from the Acushnet Company. Jan loved sunbathing in her backyard pool, daily exercising with her friends at the gym, playing computer games and gambling at casinos. She also enjoyed vacationing on cruises in the Caribbean.
