Jose Anibal Aquino

Fall River - Jose Anibal Aquino, 66, died Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. Anne's Hospital.  He was the husband of Aris Mercado.
     Born in Camuy, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Jose Miguel Aquino and Eulalia Canabal, he lived in New Bedford for several years.
     Mr. Aquino enjoyed listening to old music, watching TV, staying home and sleeping.  He loved spending time with family and friends.  It gave him great joy to be with his granddaughter, Ashley, grandson, Keven and granddaughter, Aneishaly.  He will always be loved and missed, especially by his son, Jose.
     Survivors include his wife, Aris; a son, Jose Aquino Mercado and his wife, Yulvette Fernandez of Puerto Rico; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Aquino, Keven Aquino and Aneishaly Aquino, all of New Bedford; 1 great-grandchild, Amare Aquino of New Bedford; and 1 sister, Doris Aquino of New Jersey,
     Visiting hours are 4 - 7 P.M., Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  His burial will be at 12 noon, Wednesday in Rural Cemetery.
