Jose Melo Obituary
Middleboro – Jose Melo, 65, died Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Oakhill Healthcare. He was the son of the late Moses and Leonilde (Pacheco) Melo.
Born in the Azores, Portugal, he lived in the New Bedford area for many years. He was employed as a mason until his retirement.
Jose enjoyed fishing, gardening and soccer. He loved animals.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Jennifer R. Melo of Acushnet and Marlene Sturgeon and her husband, Steven, Jr. from Guam; 1 son, Diomar Melo and his wife, Shirley of Florida; 1 sister, Norma Carreio: 2 brothers, Daniel Melo and Carlos Melo; and 4 grandchildren, Logan, Dylan, Landan and Alexia.
