New Bedford - Joseph D. Ouellette, 81, died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at home. He was the husband of Vivian L. (Beaulieu) Ouellette; they were married 60 years.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Joseph W. and Loretta (Castonguay) Ouellette, he lived here all his life. He was employed as an electrician for the Acushnet Co., Titleist, Golf Division until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian; 3 sons, Raymond Ouellette and wife, Margaret of Acushnet, David Ouellette and wife, Roberta of New Bedford, and Brian Ouellette and wife, Erin of W. Wareham; 2 brothers, Norman Ouellette and wife, Marion of New Hampshire and Robert Ouellette of New Bedford; a sister-in-law, Audrey Ouellette of Rochester; 5 grandchildren, Meghan Ouellette and fiance, Scott Lawrence, Meredith Ouellette, Peter Ouellette, Melanie Lewin and husband, Justin and Olivia Ouellette; 3 stepgrandchildren, Destiny Lopes, Patrick Nunes and Drew Machado; 2 greatgrandchildren, Jayden Lopes and Nevaeh Lopes; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Paul Ouellette and Lucille Goodwin.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M., Monday, February 29, 2016, in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements are with Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
