The beloved Julio Molina, 72, died Friday, June 21, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a suffering from a chronic illness. He was the loving husband of Eufemia (Acevedo) Molina.
Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, son of the late Tomás and Lydia (Valentin) Molina, he lived in New Bedford for the later part of his life.
Julio was a dedicated and devoted Christian, a servant of the Lord who lived for ministry work and bible study. He also worked as an automotive mechanic for many years and loved fixing cars. In his free time, Julio enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales and flea markets, trying new foods, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Julio Noel Molina and Brian Molina; 4 daughters, Elianeth Molina-Soto, Luz Miriam Gonzalez, Yadira De Paz, and Aisha Marie Rodriguez; 3 brothers; 5 sisters; and 10 grandchildren.
Visiting hours are Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. His funeral is Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with a service at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
