Kenneth John Chartier

Kenneth John Chartier, 65, died Friday, March 14, 2025 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. He was the husband of Catherine (Botelho) Chartier.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Roland O. and Elizabeth (Langdon) Chartier, he lived in Fairhaven all of his life.

In his free time, Kenneth enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and hiking. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Catherine; his brother, Roland Chartier; his 2 sisters, Margeo Ventura and Jan Pittsley Dakin; his granddaughter, Shyrae Lynn Chartier; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Melissa Beth Chartier; the uncle of the late Keith Ventura; and the brother-in-law of the late Alvin Ventura.

Private arrangements are with Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
