Kessy Torres

New Bedford - Kessy Torres, 30, died Sunday, June 24, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital.  She was the daughter of Luz Cuadrado and the late Mario Torres.
     Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.  She had been employed as a certified nurse's assistant.
     Kessy enjoyed dancing, music and joining friends for coffee.  A very social person, Kessy always took joy in being the life of the party.  She especially loved being around her family.
     Survivors include her mother, Luz; 1 daughter, Niacelis Torres; 1 son, Jeremiel Melendez;; 3 sisters, Luz Mojica, Yamaris Cuadrado, and Jocelyn Cuadrado; 3 brothers, Mario Cuadrado, Anthony Torres and Alex Torres; and several nieces and nephews.
     Visiting hours are 9 - 11 A.M., Monday, July 2, 2018, with a service at 11 A.M., at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
