New Bedford – Laimis deSaPereira, 36, died Thursday, May 13, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the son of Moacir deSaPereira and Daiva Navickas.
Born in New Bedford, he was a lifelong resident of the city. He was employed as a data clerk at Sid Wainer and Son of New Bedford.
Laimis was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was very involved with the Lithuanian community of Greater Boston. A sports fan of the Boston Patriots, he especially enjoyed the Boston Bruins. He also loved good food.
Survivors include his mother and father; 3 brothers, Moacir, Varpas and Skaidrys deSaPereira; 2 sisters, Yolanda and Gloria deSaPereira; one nephew and five nieces.
His memorial services are Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 9:30 A.M., in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 795 Dartmouth Street, South Dartmouth, MA 02748 and Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 10:30 A.M., in St. Peter Lithuanian Parish, 75 Flaherty Way, South Boston, MA 02127. Arrangements are with Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
