Leo Ciborowski Obituary

New Bedford - Leo J. Ciborowski, 98, died Sunday, June 24, 2018 at home.  He was the husband of the late Phyllis (Szczech) Ciborowski.
     Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Bronislaw and Mary (Wojcicka) Ciborowski, he lived here all his life.  He was employed by the city of New Bedford as Assistant Superintendent of the Park Dept., until his retirement.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
     Mr. Ciborowski was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
     He loved the outdoors and watched a lot of sports, especially the Red Sox, Patriots and college football.
     He is survived by 2 sons, Joseph Ciborowski and John Ciborowski, both of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Janice Ciborowski of New Bedford and Joanne Ciborowski of Attleboro; 1 brother, Chester Ciborowski of East Sandwich; 1 grandson, Christopher Ciborowski of PA; and several nieces and nephews.
     He was the brother of the late Mitchell Ciborowski, Eugene E. Ciborowski, Helen Slusarz and Nicki Hodak.
     His services were private.  Arrangements are with Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
