Linda A Frates

Linda A. Frates, 78, died Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of David A. Frates, Sr.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Thadeus and Lucille (Poineau) Sowa, she lived in Fairhaven her entire life.

In her free time, Linda enjoyed gardening, cooking, and vacationing. She especially loved spending time with her 2 grandchildren and her family.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Jason D. Frates of Acushnet, David A. Frates, Jr. and his wife, Sarah of Fairhaven, and Thadeus M. Frates of Fairhaven; her sister, Donna Sowa of New Bedford; and her 2 grandchildren, Jarrod and Carter Frates.

She was the sister of the late Albert Sowa.
