Louis A. Marcotte

New Bedford - Louis A. Marcotte, 81, of New Bedford, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital, after a long illness.  He was the son of the late Walter and Doria (Marcotte) Marcotte.
     A lifelong resident of New Bedford, he was a member of St. Joseph-St. Therese Parish.  He was formerly employed at C.F. Wing Co.,  the Outlet, LaSalette Shrine, and Our Lady's Chapel in New Bedford.
     Survivors include 1 brother, Gerard Marcotte and wife, Judy, and 1 sister, Lina Marcotte, all of New Bedford; his nieces, Mrs. Claire Braga of New Jersey, Rachel Ratajack, Jeanne Marcotte and Mrs. Therese Szala, all of Fairhaven; and Mrs. Caryn Gamache of Acushnet; his nephews, Denis Marcotte of Maryland, Richard Marcotte of Idaho, and Matthew Marcotte of New Bedford; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
     He was the brother of the late Paul, Leo, Joseph and Doris Marcotte.
     At the request of family there will be no visiting hours and burial is private.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass, Tuesday, December 23, at 9:30 A.M. in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, New Bedford.
